The Role of Operations Research (OR) in Addressing Socio-Economic Challenges for Effective Regional Integration

• Regional Trade and Development
• Management and Mobility of Resources (Entrepreneurs, labour, land, capital, etc) in Regional Integration
• Regional Financial Integration (markets and currencies)
• Optimization of Regional Infrastructure and Utilities (energy, rail, roads, ports, airports etc)
• Optimization of Value Chains (health, agriculture, mining food security, tourism, etc.)
• Application of  Operations Research in Addressing Regional Security issues
• Management of Environment, Water Management and Climate Change
• Contemporary issues in Operations Research and Regional Integration
• There will also be doctoral colloquium and a key speaker on ‘Cutting Edge’ in Operations Research.

TARGET GROUP

Researchers, trainers, academicians, practitioners, and students interested in and/or using any of the branches of Operations Research

PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY

Papers presented at the conference will be published in the Operations Research Society of Eastern Africa Journal (ISSN 1821-7567) subject to peer review
